Happy Housetraining
Of the books on potty training a dog, this is also among the best of the lot I have seen. The author covers the topic thoroughly and addresses the issues. Starting with the reasons that crate training is part of successful potty training, to the steps of paper training and when to choose paper training, to what to feed your dog and when – under the premise that “what goes in – must come out." He is both practical and mildly humorous and provides you with potty training "schedules" that will fit most lifestyles. This book gets my number 2 recommendation. It is a little weaker in several of the topic areas and it does not cover the leash and collar issues at all. Extras:

Expanded Review The Book The author has done an excellent job of covering this single topic from start to finish. He addresses the Alpha dog issue and covers the importance of crate training as a vital part of the toilet training issue. He covers paper training, and when it is best to use that approach. He covers foods for your dog as part of the training issue. Finally, he gives six options on schedules that you can follow for your toilet training routine for your dog, including two for adult dogs. A lot of people are looking for a dog potty training "recipe" to follow and this book comes as close to that as you can get. When you buy this book, you get access to two file formats for the book. One is an "executable" file, this is set up with a pure e-book format with the clever page turning and links - it works well for reading the book on your computer. The other file is a PDF file format which is appropriate for printing. Most people are going to print this book out, but you just need to make sure that you set the printer properties to "make it fit the paper" otherwise little bits of one page run onto the next sheet and it just leaves you with a messy look. However, the content of this book is among the best for the toilet training issue. The Extras The Dog Food Report – 27 page report covering what is in pet food and how to select dog food that is best for your dog. |
