Puppy Housetraining: The Ultimate
Guide
This book lives up to its title of "The Ultimate Guide." No other book covers the potty training issue like this one does. The author gives step by step guides on every issue. All of the potty training books emphasize the need for a dog crate to be successful quickly with potty training. This book covers that issue better than any of the others. This is my number 1 recommendation. The author's website is not as flashy, but this book is the best. Extras: Value: ллллл Current Price $19.95
Potty Training Rating: 32 out of 39

Expanded Review The Book This book is the best currently available. It was because of this book that I felt the need to create the "Potty Training Rating Scale" page. Crate training is mentioned in every book, but this book tells you how to make sure the training works, especially for an older dog. The author also covers paper training, leash and collar issues and the dog food issue in a complete way. Beyond this, the "meat and potatoes" issue of doing the potty training is complete. So all the key issues are covered well and all the extra issues are covered well. No other book does this. The only issue that comes up short is the Alpha Dog issue. As much as I think the Alpha Dog Issue is important, this book still offers the best overall package on potty training your dog. The Extras The first two bonuses are not really bonuses. The potty schedule planner and equipment checklist are a necessary part of a proper training book. Whether they are called extras or not, this author has them included so she gets credit for these in the rating scale.
